Welcome all to another October here at Chillpress! This year we aren't going to be focusing on any horror films or more Treehouse of Horror specials, and yes, we have a somewhat decent enough reason.

     This is the month that I turn 30, and I had been trying to figure out what I'd be able to do to celebrate here on the site. After some long, long brainstorming, I thought it'd be fun to do a look at 30 films I love.
     These aren't necessarily my 30 favourite films period. They aren't in any particular order and I'm sure that there are films I'm excluding that would rank higher than some if I was forced to order them. I tried to have a mixture of genres and cover as much ground as I could. I did my best not looking to add anything way too recent, and there are some movies that I may have mentioned before being amongst my favourites that I didn't add either just to have some free space to recommend movies you may not have seen, or may have forgotten about (for instance, I wrote previously about how Halloween would rank very, very high in regards to being my favourite movie, but I made the choice not to include it for that reason).

     So I hope that all of you enjoy this venture slighty away from our usual scary season shenanigans (don't worry too much, if you are, there's plenty of horror here), and I hope that you find something new to love.
